Are you looking for professional expertise in audio systems? Whether it be a need for a simple public address system, maybe even a fire alarm linked voice alarm system, let STS meet your exact requirements.

PA Systems
The simplest of public address systems consist of a microphone, a powered mixer-amplifier and one or more loudspeakers. Simple PA systems of this type are often used in small premises such as shops, schools, churches, and bars.

.

Larger PA systems consist of a paging facility with a desk or wall mounted microphone, CD or music input source, powered mixer amplifier and a number of loudspeakers to suit the local décor of the proposed location. Additional facilities can be added such as zoned paging, pre-announcement chimes, recorded message announcements or advertising material from a range of available independent sources. Systems of this type are used mainly in commercial buildings.

The type of amplifier and correct selection of loudspeakers can vary greatly due to the input sources required for a particular venue. Care is needed to avoid acoustic feedback occurring from loudspeakers installed in close proximity to microphones.
Voice Alarm Systems
Voice alarms (VA) are enhanced versions of public address (PA) systems, linked to fire alarms, designed specifically to meet the life safety issues contained within BS 5839 Part 8 and EN60849.

Induction Loop Systems
Induction loop systems improve sound reproduction for people with impaired hearing by transmitting magnetic energy directly to hearing aids with telecoils (T-coils). The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995 recommends the installation of an induction loop system in public places where goods / services will be provided. Portable induction loops are also available to comply with the regulations.
